What I Do
As a preacher’s son, naturally, I grew up drawing on church bulletins. I drew in my room while listening to my favorite cassette tapes. I drew at my grandparent’s house at their fer mica kitchen bar. And I drew in class in the margins of my homework.
When I was about 13, my Dad’s boss asked me to draw him a new logo for his machine shop. I can’t describe the thrill of seeing my first design on a printed business card. Years later, after discovering computers, grid layouts and the Adobe Creative Suite, I still get that same thrill every time I see one of my designs in print or on the web.
I do a bit of freelance work, but 40 hours of my week is proudly spent as a graphic designer at LifeChurch.tv, where I’m surrounded by over a dozen other insanely creative and motivating people.
